The Number Behind the Game
An 82-game schedule is the full length of a top-flight basketball season. Sweep all of it and you finish 82-0 β flawless. It has never been done. The all-time win record stops short of it, which means even the most dominant roster ever assembled still walked off the floor a loser more than once. 82-0 names the distance between historic greatness and genuine perfection, and that small gap is the whole reason the all-time-team arguments never settle.
One Round at a Time
Each round opens with a draw you donβt control: a franchise and a decade, chosen at random. You take a single player from that slice of history, slot him into a position he actually played, and move on. Five rounds, five legends, with one team reroll and one era reroll for when a draw leaves you stuck. The constraint is the point β anyone can name five superstars, but assembling a five out of whatever the draw hands you is where the game lives.
How the Result Is Decided
Once the five spots are filled, every player brings his real per-game output β scoring, rebounding, passing and defense β scaled across eras so numbers from different decades can be compared fairly.
